January 26, 2005 saw the Cato Institute in DC host a press conference and panel discussion about the new American Council on Science and Health book, America's War on "Carcinogens": Reassessing The Use of Animal Tests to Predict Human Cancer Risk.  Cato vice president David Boaz introduced the event, and numerous scientists, policy experts, and journalists attended.  This event marked the beginning of a major rethinking of the scientific basis for anti-chemical regulations.  Click to see a video presentation about the conference.
