The REAL ABC's of "Bird Flu"

By Jeff Stier, Esq.

There has been a lot of hype about tonight's ABC  show on 'bird flu" -so much so that some are saying the show cause many to unnecessary panic. We are used to scares from the ABC news division, but not so much from their entertainment branch.

ACSH advisor Dr. Michael Osterholm told Reuters that, "I worry that this could very well be portrayed by many as ultimate example of sensationalism,"

Indeed. Dr. Osterholm advises both the federal government, as well as ACSH on just these issues. As a matter of fact, he advises us on such issues.

Instead of watching the ABC show, take a few minutes and review our report, Avian Influenza, or "Bird Flu": What You Need to Know. Or better yet, since I'll be at the Yankees - Red Sox game and won't be watching ABC!, please watch the show, read our report, and respond to this blog by letting us know where the tv show was inconsistent with the science.
