To the Editor:
The latest study by Harvard researchers on the healthfulness of eating eggs resoundingly supports the adage that there are no "good" or "bad" foods, only good or bad diets (news article, 4/21/99). The study found that non-diabetic people with normal cholesterol levels did not increase their risk of heart disease or stroke by consuming an egg per day.
It is to be hoped that Americans can now more confidently focus their attention on their overall diets, rather than on demonizing eggs or other nutritious foods.
