Grist is a reliable minor league version of Mother Jones - no amount of exaggeration is worth leaving out and no amount of imaginative 'you agree all pesticides are killing Gaia or you are an industry shill' narrative goes un-exercised.
The American Dietetic Association (ADA), the American Council on Science and Health, the EPA, everyone is on the take from Big Pesticide when a publication is trolling for advertising money from Friends of the Earth or NRDC or whoever they are trying to impress. In this case, they claim we are industry shills for disputing the claim by Marion Nestle that GMOs are evil and must be banned. What they never do is prove that the science is actually wrong.
