Video: Terms That Annoy Scientists

By ACSH Staff — Jun 08, 2016
Last week, we sat down with some of our scientists to discuss terms that they wish the general public would stop using when discussing science — and none of them held back. Caution: Comedy ahead.

Lots of things annoy scientists. Misused scientific terms annoy them the most. So when Ana Dolaskie — our video director— visited our NYC office last week, she made some of our scientists talk about their pet-peeves on camera. (Not everyone was impressed, at first.)

Here's what Dr. Josh Bloom, Dr. Lila Abassi, and Dr. Alex Berezow had to say (or didn't say) about the terms and phrases they wish the general public would stop using when discussing science.

Caution: Comedy ahead.
