Last month, I wrote an op-ed for USA Today about Yucca Mountain.

Since our founding in 1978, ACSH has stood for evidence-based science and health in combination with free markets and individual liberty.

The old adage that a lie can traverse the globe before the truth puts its shoes on has never been more relevant than it is today. Because of social media, lies can literally spread around the world in mere seconds.

Physicians often have to provide unwanted news; very few patients came into my office wanting and hoping for surgery.
