In June, the recently downsized CDC vaccine advisory panel voted to stop recommending flu vaccines containing thimerosal. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. posted a lengthy explanation on X, describing Thimerosal as 'toxic' and carcinogenic. The claims get a lot of traction online, despite decades of research on Thimerosal in vaccines. ACSH experts weigh in on the science and perhaps unintended consequences of this move.
