An ad hoc organization Allow Golden Rice Now will continue its quest to end fear and agenda-driven opposition to Golden Rice with a weekend protest in Vancouver. Dr. Patrick Moore, founder of the pro- Golden Rice campaign which condemns the destruction of scientific field trials of golden rice in the Philippines will lead the demonstration outside Greenpeace s Rainbow Flagship Warrior ship currently being built in Vancouver.
The Allow Golden Rice Now Society, a collaborative effort by the Moore family, seeks to end Greenpeace s zero-tolerance stance on genetically modified foods, and their opposition to Golden Rice, which provides Vitamin A to malnourished children.
